Dinosaurs are mind blowing and endlessly fascinating. Yet, they are sadly relegated to the realm of children. I think that kids naturally get curious and excited about dinos, but they don’t see this reflected by the world around them. Maybe this leads to them abandoning the entire thing? If I’m telling everyone I know about I thing I was taught and find incredible, and nobody seems to care (or worse, they’ve already heard about it and are indifferent), then I’m apt to stop telling anyone and then I’d reconsider whether it was incredible after all…
That is sad.
I’d like to not only encourage a child’s interest in dinosaurs, but every adult, too! It is amazing that these magnificent beasts walked the earth.
I’ve been shocked by how big, sturdy, gentle and interesting cows can be up close. I try and imagine what it would be like to see a dinosaur in nature and it is awe inspiring.
There is magic in our heads, why not use it?
