We lap up these scraps because we’ve been denied so much.
Companies have appeared to destroy their products, business models, even decades of reputation building, to do anything but innovate.
Now, with a straight face, they will claim to be returning to their roots for the betterment of us all.
We could see a pendulum that swings from shitty products/services to acceptable levels of enshittification, and back and forth. Never progressing.
